Welded and Chain-Link Mesh in Baja California

Two products that solve different problems share the name mesh. Welded mesh is structural reinforcement: a grid welded at every intersection that acts as reinforcing steel for concrete, replacing traditional grade-42 bars in floors and screeds. Chain-link mesh is enclosure: a helically woven wire fabric forming diamonds that defines the perimeter of a lot.

We carry both. In welded, sizes 44, 66, 88 and 1010, plus hardware welded mesh used as floor reinforcement with savings in material and labour. In chain-link, commercial-grade galvanised, PVC-coated, and urban mesh, made with galvanised wires of higher strength and durability, with triple-knot twists and independent tension on each horizontal wire.

Questions about mesh

For floor reinforcement, yes: it acts as reinforcing steel for concrete, replacing traditional grade-42 bars with savings in material and labour. For structural elements in flexure, rebar is still used.

At the depth the project specifies, held by spacers. Mesh dropped on the base and walked on during the pour reinforces nothing: it ends up outside the zone where it was meant to work.
