The classic mistake with gypsum panels is treating them as a single product. They are in fact different families and the selection criterion is always the same: how much water that wall will see. A dry-interior panel behind a shower fails within months; an exterior panel in a bedroom is money thrown away. Panel Rey solves all three conditions with three different cores.
Light Rey is the lightweight gypsum panel: a non-combustible core made essentially of gypsum, covered on both sides with 100 % recycled paper, whose face paper wraps the bevelled edges along their full length for greater strengthening and core protection. Perma Base consists of a lightweight cement core between two layers of fiberglass mesh, producing an exceptionally durable surface capable of withstanding moisture. Glass Rey is the exterior panel, with a non-combustible core specially treated to resist water absorption and protected on both faces by a fiberglass coating resistant to mould growth.

Guaranteed weather performance
Glass Rey offers guaranteed performance for up to 12 months against degradation, delamination and deterioration when exposed to weather under normal climatic conditions such as UV, rain, wind, ice and snow.

Questions about gypsum panels
Perma Base, the cement board: its lightweight cement core between fiberglass mesh layers gives a durable surface capable of withstanding moisture. It is also the best tile substrate in wet areas.
Only the one made for it. Glass Rey has a non-combustible core treated against water absorption and a mould-resistant fiberglass coating, with guaranteed performance for up to 12 months of weather exposure.
It is the mould-growth resistance test; 10 is the top rating. Glass Rey achieves it thanks to its fiberglass facing.
