Mesh and Perimeter Fencing: Which Type for Each Case
Under the same name — mesh — there are two products with nothing in common: one reinforces concrete, the other closes a lot.

Welded mesh: reinforcement, not fencing
It is a square grid welded at every intersection that acts as reinforcing steel for concrete, replacing traditional grade-42 bars in floors and screeds with savings in material and labour. It comes in sizes 44, 66, 88 and 1010, plus hardware welded mesh.
The mistake that cancels the reinforcement
Dropping the mesh on the base and walking on it while pouring. If the mesh does not sit at the depth the project specifies, held by spacers, it ends up outside the zone where it was meant to work and the floor behaves as if it had none.
Chain-link: galvanised, PVC or urban
Galvanised chain-link is commercial-grade galvanised steel wire woven helically into diamonds. The PVC version adds a plastic coating that improves weather resistance and allows colour. Urban mesh uses galvanised wires of higher strength and durability, with triple-knot twists and independent tension on each horizontal wire.
What else you need to fence
Posts, tensioners, tie wire and, depending on the case, barbed wire for the top run. Cebú High Tension is high-carbon wire twisted together with barbs every 5 inches, designed for long runs that must hold tension.
